Nintendo DSi XL Arriving April 15

Nintendo’s next iteration in the DS range of products has just been announced for Australia, and it’s about as exciting as you could hope. The DSi XL adds some bulk, particularly in the screen department- expanding them to 4.2-inches.

All that extra bulk, according to Nintendo at least – means “a wider viewing angle, the ability to immediately play with pre-installed software, longer battery life, improved sound, and a new, larger, more comfortable stylus”.

The handheld will come in both “burgundy” and “bronze”, plus a heap of pre-installed software. There’s no pricing info just yet, but according to Kotaku, it will cost “more than the DSi”. They’re guessing $349, which is only $50 off a Wii.

Anyone marking launch day in their calendars for one of these?
