Microsoft love making special Xbox 360 bundles, and their latest is pretty special. Coinciding with the Xbox 360 launch of Final Fantasy XIII, they’ll be joining forces with Square Enix to release a bundle packed with Final Fantasy extras.
On top of the 250GB HDD (which is actually engraved), you’ll also get a FFXIII faceplate, two wireless controllers, plus downloadable Avatar items, including two outfits from characters in the game, plus a pet Chocobo. Sounds interesting… I guess.
The bundle will set you back $599, which is a bit of a premium over the standard elite console. But for me, I reckon it’s the box itself that really sells this. Even if you’re not a Final Fantasy fan, you have to admit that the box looks awesome…

The only thing that puts me off is that I prefer the black console and controllers. My original 20Gb unit is still running so I’m not in any hurry (at the moment – fingers crossed).
