Xbox Marks The Spot For Razer’s Controller And Headset

1:47AM January 9, 2010 | AddyDugdale

Razer, the firm that brings us all those high-end gaming peripherals, has made its first foray into the Xbox market with a couple of add-ons. The Onza controller and Chimaera pro gaming headset will be available later this year.

The $US50 Onza, with its swanky green trim, has Razer’s Hyperesponse Technology, (blah blah fishcakes) adjustable tension analogue sticks and a multi-function button that you can program yourself to perform specific actions. Batteries not included, as they have power cords.

And then there’s the Chimaera. Costing $US130, it supports 5.1 channel surround sound system, and allows you to connect multiple Razer base stations via its Daisy-Chain cable system. [Techtree.com]

Wait. The exspensive controller has some kind of magic analouge sticks, but can’t do wireless?

One step forward, two steps back.

    More wanky than swanky.

Dude the reason why they cant make it wireless is because its under copyright protection to microsoft. Microsoft owns wireless for xbox 360 theres nothing third party controllers can do about it. They have to be wired. I know its stupid but if a third party controller made a wireless one then they can be sued. :D
