Remember how excited we were about the TomTom iPhone app? How young and foolish we were! And how disappointed iPod Touch owners were that the cradle didn’t work with their device. Well, as of yesterday, TomTom officially caters to iPod Touch owners as well!
The iPod Touch car kit will set you back $129 on top of the $99 for the app, so it’d really be cheaper to just go out and buy a standalone satnav. But if logic doesn’t persuade you, you can grab it from selected (no idea which ones) retailers now. Go nuts!

Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 9:50 PMOK, so I was new back to Oz and needed a satnav, so i thought i’d do this – bought a 32gb touch, the car kit and the TT software. Yes, 129+99 gets a low end satnav, but how many satnavs let you do other things as well – worth it i reckon. Anyway, worked fine for the first 3 weeks, then cacked itself, now getting refund for software as well as trying to fix the whole thing. Advice would be to wait 6 months until all bugs are ironed out, it feels very ‘beta’ at the moment.
