iFlash Lights Up For Flash-Less iDevice Photographers

If you’re constantly disappointed with your iPhone 3G, 3GS or iPod touch’s camera performance in low light scenarios, the iFlash could be just what you need. It’s $US29.95 and plugs into your iDevice’s docking port.

I Watch This Mechanic Arm Making Chairs All Day

There’s something magical about this video. I think it’s because of the slow pace in which the giant computer-controlled arm carefully places layer after layer of gooey plastic to create furniture. It’s like an endless cream sandwich. It makes me hungry.

Tour New York City With A Toy Plane

We’ve certainly seen aerial views of cities before, but there’s something particularly wonderful about this one: The video was shot using a camera attached to a remote-controlled aeroplane which was flown around New York City.

Unwind At Tatooine’s New Eco Spa

Dar Hi, an eco spa opening in the Tunisian village of Nefta, looks kind of like Luke Skywalker’s Uncle’s place after an extreme home makeover. Which is fitting, because its just a short walk from where George Lucas filmed Tatooine

California’s Computer History Museum got a little star power today, as the legendary Steve Wozniak came by to guide journalists through tech heaven – from 19th century census calculators to ’60s machines that look like spaceships. And he was thrilled.

This Is Why We Have Stop Lights

I’d like to say that no one was harmed in the making of this video, but when you go through so many car-on-car, car-on-bike and bike-on-bike collisions in such a short amount of time, well, that’s just being unrealistic.

The Science Behind Foam You Can Eat

Edible foam. At this point, we’re weeks away from Guy Fieri introducing a Jack Daniels-infused foam atop deep-fried pork belly at TGI Friday’s across the US. Cliché foodie trope, but the science behind foam is still remarkably fresh.

It was a sad day in Australian technology history when the University of Queensland’s Museum of IT had to shut its doors, losing decades of Australian computing history. The silver lining is that the museum’s closure has raised awareness of the country’s need to record our computing history. And you can help!
