Telstra iPhones Now Have Tethering Enabled

Gizmodo AU

A few tips over the weekend that Telstra iPhone customers are now able to tether their Apple handsets to use as a wireless modem. At this stage there’s no extra charge, although you’ll need to be very mindful of your included data allowance, as tethering is a surefire way to burn through that 150MB if you’re on a smaller plan.

It’s good Telstra have done this. I can’t believe Optus charge for the privilege. I’m with Virgin and have tethered my laptop a few times–great when traveling interstate.

Telstra have such an inspired data-upgrade plan. Go from 150 to 300MB and pay TRIPLE.
