Optus Selling The HTC Snap Winmo Phone

If, for whatever reason, you want to spend money on a Windows Mobile phone with a QWERTY keypad and you don’t want to pay for NextG, Optus has just announced they’re selling the HTC Snap for $0 on a $49 business cap plan over 24 months.

The phone is the first to offer Winmo 6.5 to Optus customers, which says more about Optus than it does about anything else, considering the phone OS has been available for months already. But on the upside, the Snap works on both the 2100 and the 900MHz spectrums, meaning it’ll take advantage of Optus’ expanded network, unlike some other smartphones we could mention. *cough* iPhone *cough*
