In NY, AT&T’s “Mark the Spot” iPhone app is going to run constantly. It lets you pinpoint precisely where AT&T’s network sucked, and how—dropped call, bad data, crappy voice—and send it to them. Prepare for a tsunami.
AU: Oh – can we please get a version for Optus? Pretty please, nice developer people? -NB
Obviously only iPhones will be contributing data, but I find it amusing that people select a phone which is widely known to have poor reception, and then bitch and moan about dropping calls.
You have a choice, people – buy a phone with a decent aerial, or suck it up.
Vodafone need one desperately as well, especially for in the Sydney CBD. More places than not I can have full 3G reception and no data, and it’s just getting worse. :D
