Each and every Christmas, my family enjoys two fully baked dinners, a champagne breakfast and a few bottles of choice wine. And in between opening presents and talking about the year that’s been, for the past few years we’ve also managed to squeeze in a bit of family Guitar Hero action…
It’s a cacophony of mediocrity, but everyone has a lot of fun. This year will probably be even more enjoyable, as the older generation will really enjoy playing The Beatles: Rock Band.
But am I the only one? Does anyone else out there end up spending a bit of time on Christmas Day geeking it up with their family? Let us know in comments.

My family isn’t into gadgets or gaming much at all and would be especially uninterested over Christmas. However next monday is my b’day and I’ll be getting everyone jammin’ on Rock Band 2!

Yeah, I’m taking my Wii round to my sister’s place with 3 flavours of GH, New Super Mario Bros. and Super Smash: Brawl.
That’s probably as geeky as it’s gonnna get, other than geeky presents like games, gadgets, etc.
There may even be an electronic Santa around… not too sure… :P

well, yes, I’m Geeking it up, with movies, getting lots of new Blurays, and just got some rear speakers for 7.1!
Ironically, its my ‘cool’ mainstream sister and her boyfriend that are getting rock band. I don’t think geek applies to party games. on the other hand, they have been playing guitar hero non stop for the last few days now… but thats more because they are bored, not dedicated geeks.
