Are Smartphones A Weird Christmas Gift?

Naturally, manufacturers are pushing smartphones as great Christmas gifts. But how many of you are actually giving/receiving one? Which phone is it?

I ask because smartphones have contracts, generally and because of that they seem like a complicated thing to gift. And a personal decision! What do you think about it?

    I’m getting a HTC HD2 but in saying that I asked for it cause my iphone died.. So i suppose im not really being gifted it in a sense…

    I’m regifting a Nokia 6210. Should be off contract by now.
