President Obama visited a Boys and Girls Club and played the part of Santa, asking the kids what they want for Christmas – but instead of hearing traditional requests for bikes, the kids all wanted iPods, phones and other tech.
He asked the kids what they wanted for Christmas but seemed surprised by their expensive and high-tech tastes, including iPods, [mobile]phones and video games.
“Whatever happened to, like, asking for a bike?” POTUS asked. “Everbody has a bike,” one informed him and others agreed.
From the mouths of babes: Gadgetry beats lo-fi, analogue “bi-cycles” any day. [Gawker, image source]

Gadgets MIGHT be good for a child’s mental development. (like figuring out how they work, NOT using them for twitter) but I’d still pick lego over any gadget any day for that.

Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 3:33 PMGosh, how sad that they want to lose their creativity even earlier by becoming zombie gadget users.
Give me some lego any day.

Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 4:45 PMYeah! I hate Gadgets! They are destroying society!
I think any website that sells, promotes, or uses part of the word or synonym in its name should be on the blacklist!
