Noteball 2Everyone uses a laptop these days, but who actually uses it on their lap? Those things get hot! Even when it’s sitting on a desk they get hot. That’s a problem that the Noteball hopes to fix by giving your laptop a big adjustable ball underneath the bottom.

It essentially does the exact same thing as all those laptop stands, except in ball form. It has adjustable heights, a non-slip base, and suits laptops of all different sizes. They come in six different colours, and cost $25. Plus, you can tell your friends that your notebook has balls. What beats that?

it’s actually interesting that officially they seldom call them “Laptops” anymore but Notebooks or some similar variation.

this is supposedly connected to some lawsuits some years ago where people were placing the laptops on their laps and supposedly receiving burns to their legs and genitals from the massive heat that they expel.

So they changed the name to avoid the association that you put the computer on your lap for long term use, even though it is what they are partly designed for.

    All very interesting really.

I thought that a LapTop was a portable DeskTop (like we had back in the 80′s and earlt 90′s etc) and a NoteBook was a mobile computing device. the main difference being a battery and the size..
