These images of the bridge — called the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge — were shot in September 2009 as the 323m twin-rib concrete arch advances towards its late 2010 opening. The $US240 million, 610m bridge is part of a larger project, a 5.6km corridor that begins in Clark County, Nevada and ends in Mohave County, Arizona. Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 8:05 AMThe drive over the new bridge should be pretty spectacular… but how many tourists will stop in the middle of the bridge to take photos ?
But I’ll miss driving across the actual dam wall – it was something I remember well from the 60′s, and have repeated several times more reecently – even if there are many small bumper benders every day!
