Unfortunately, the maximum range on the G-Bound is only about 10m, so I wouldn’t take it out to the lake unless you don’t mind swimming after it. Not that it matters — it appears to be a Japan-only release for the moment. [G-Bound via Hobby Media via Coolest Gadgets]

About a 18 years ago I got to ride on a trike that you could ride over the water. Basically just had giant plastic wheels that gave it buoyancy and had ridges on them so you could get some movement as well.

Erm this is really nothing new. Had a RC way back when I was maybe 7 or so (20 years ago) that had these claws that came out of the tires to get you around in the water. Though cannot for the life of me remember the name.
