Logitech’s 700 And 900 Harmony Remotes Finally Available

Gizmodo AU

It’s taken a few months, but the Australian arm of Logitech has finally announced the Australian availability of their 700 and 900 Harmony universal remotes. And they’ve been a little heavy handed on the Australian gadget tax as well…

The 700, which we first heard about in September, costs $US150 overseas. Here, it’s $300. The 900, which Jason reviewed back in August, sells for $US400 in the States. Here, it’ll set you back $900.

I’m not going to spend time ranting about copping the short end of the stick on international gadget pricing again. I’ll just suggest you shop around online – there’s no reason why the US version wouldn’t work in Australia…

Explains why they’ve been ignoring the Harmony PS3 Adapter compatibility/recall.. they’re too busy launching new Harmony products to bother fixing problems in the ones they’ve already sold.

ha ha, what a Joke. I purchased my Logitech Harmony One for $200.

I don’t know why anybody would pay this much for the 900. What a joke.

I’ts always the worst on any even remotely home theater related stuff. good news is that this is neither heavy nor bound by the a country’s electrical or other standards.. so import ftw!

but I think you will be able to get a decent discount here. (just don’t got to HN!)

Bought a Harmony One about 14 months ago from good old eBay for AU$168 …thanks for coming. Anyone that buys stuff retail without checking on-line first is a douche.
