Godfather Of Spam Sentenced To Four Years In Jail

6:46AM November 25, 2009 | Kyle VanHemert

A Detroit judge has sentenced Alan Ralsky, a spam mastermind who headed an elaborate international organisation, to 51 months in prison. Ralsky was convicted of wire fraud, mail fraud and violation of the CAN-SPAM act for his schemes.

Ralsky and his cohorts netted millions from pump-and-dump stock scams which were bolstered by their spamming. The spammer plead guilty in June along with his son, who was sentenced to 40 months in jail. I don’t think that this Godfather’s status will afford him lobster dinners in the slammer.
