Fire And Flood Proof ioSafe HDDs Now Available In Australia

solo1If you’ve ever wanted to set a hard drive on fire, dump it in water and then reef it out to access the data safely, you’ll be happy to know that the ioSafe hard drives are now available in Australia.

The ioSafe Solo is available in three capacities: 500GB for $249, 1TB for $375 and 1.5TB for $475, for a limited time. There’s also a ruggedised NAS for $15K, but I doubt there will be too many of you guys jumping on that deal…

      better yet, sensitive information can be archived in a pond, watertank or fireplace. although there’s no info on the site about the limitations of the protection (temperature and water depth etc).
