Xbox 360 Wireless N Adaptor Costs An Absurd $US100

Want to get your Xbox 360 online using the fastest wireless protocol possible? Get ready to pony up an unconscionable $US100 on November 3, according to GameStop. Seriously, Microsoft? [Gamestop via Joystiq]
Its no surprise really Microsoft offers us the “Base” Xbox experience really cheap (compared to the PS3 and even the Wii) at $299 then slog us with the wireless and recharge packs that essentially brings the price up to the PS3 price point.
As Microsoft said when the PS3 launched “We don’t want force technology on to our customers we want them to have choice”
Its seems to be good marketing strategy to get as many Xbox360 into homes as possible.
Not to mention the price for online gaming. In a few years an Xbox player will pay more in maintaining the online experience than the PS3 owner. I have both, I bought my PS3 and rigged a competition so I’d win the Xbox. Played the Xbox once in a year, gave it to my brother. He plays it offline for a couple of games. Everything else is played online for free on the PS3.
Oh and BTW, PS3 has built in bluetooth/wireless just so ya know…. it just hooks up to my Wireless router free of charge.
I would gladly pay per year for great service. You fail to include how bad the PSN is, it’s free because it sucks, and you get what you pay for.
Good luck with that internal 802.11g on the PS3. In a year you’ll be purchasing a wireless network adapter when your “built in” one is a dinosaur…and btw bluetooth is slow as hell.
