Sydney Apple Store Has A Real Pane In The Glass

Gizmodo AU

Apple store fixingThere’s a fascinating article on ITNews today about the Sydney Apple Store needing to replace one of its glass panes. Apparently it’s already cost Cupertino $1 million to fix, and they’re not quite done yet…

According to the Ry Crozier article, the company had to have a special device custom made in Germany and shipped to Australia in order to remove the glass using an army of suction cups, alongside the replacement sheet of 4-inch-thick glass.

Repairs will continue tonight, but in the meantime you should definitely check out the ITNews article and their photo gallery…

The covers have been up for the last few days and I was wondering why it was there… I was convinced they were announcing new MacPro’s last night and they had a GIANT MacPro under the covers… Oh Well…
