At just 3mm thick, Samsung’s latest 40-inch LED backlit LCD HDTV is as thin as Sony’s XEL-1 OLED TV. It almost makes the 1-inch thin Panasonic Z1 Plasma look chubby and Samsung’s current LED LCD TVs (about 1.2 inches) look fat.
All we know right now is that the model you see has a 120Hz LCD panel, and 5000:1 contrast ratio. Oh, and Samsung hopes to push it out ASAP. I bet. [Akihabara News]

I remember when I was amazed my 1st gen iPod Nano could be that thin.

That’s just the panel isnt it?
im sure the case would put some thickness on it
