It’s been months, and we’re still waiting for TomTom to release their cradle for the iPhone. Fortunately, Kensington’s just released their Windshield Mount in Australia, which means you’ll be able to use the satnav apps on your iPhone in Victoria.
The mount connects to either the windshield or the air conditioning vent in your car, and features a “sound amplified cradle” which apparently offers twice the volume of your iPhone speaker without draining the battery any more. It’ll stand in portrait or landscape mode, and costs $50.

Friday, October 23, 2009 at 1:49 PMAbout the same time that the Telcos also realised the iphone is a cash cow and began suscriber plans levelled at the iphone only , hence why we now see these “generic” products as u call them

Friday, October 23, 2009 at 3:36 PMI’ve had my iPhone mounted on my windshield for a while now with just a standard PDA cradle, it also connects to my car stereo through bluetooth so I really don’t see the point of this.

there’s so many iphone car kits out there now. no use waiting for tomtom as it doesn’t have a FM transmitter.
