We’ve seen leaks of the HTC Droid Eris (on Verizon) before, but now there’s a more official-looking shot from a Verizon training course — and it looks pretty much like the Hero.

The Droid Eris, remember, is supposedly a sort of odd blast from the past, packing only Android 1.5 and an older 528MHz CPU, and should launch alongside (aka “be overshadowed by”) the Motorola Droid on—if the rumours are correct—November 6th. Not super enticing, but maybe it’ll come at a really cheap price point (like, $US50), sort of like the Palm Pixi in relation to the Pre. [AndroidGuys via Engadget]
