Harvey Norman Plan To Sell The World’s First Copy Of Windows 7
Me? I’ve already got Windows 7 installed on my MacBook Pro. A good chunk of you guys are probably running the new Windows OS already too. But for those people who have to purchase the software through regular retail channels, Harvey Norman is planning on hosting a midnight launch for the new OS, with the “world’s first copy” to be sold to a lucky punter by Gerry Harvey himself.
No details yet on which Harvey Norman store will be hosting the midnight launch – but as you can see from the “save the date” email I received, It’s happening next Wednesday night from 11:30pm. I’ll update with more details when they come to light…

Yeah but due to the recession they don’t have midnight anymore.
Harvey Norman has stores in NZ… My guess is it will be one of those stores that will be selling this…

Impossible. I have already bought my copy. I’m sure others have too if they have taken part in Microsoft’s upgrade from Vista promotion.
It was widely reported that Windows 7 has been sold from College book rooms already in the USA. Too late.
Is it too late in Australia, since legitimate copies of Window 7 have already been installed for the students of the Digital Education Revolution?
