We set up a specific site for Beatles day as part of our shopping mall with all the new box sets and the rock band game ect, don’t worry not a plug we are not in Aussy! but I saw you had a poll here asking what people bought, and just to let you know some real time results, we had a pre-order frenzy for just the individual, new re-mastered CD albums on their own, it would seem that most of the box sets were all booked in advance, but also the price ight be a bit much! We’ve sold 2 box sets for every 10 individual CD albums from the box sets, seems the people just want to hear at least one of their personal favourite albums in new, glorious stereo, so far the new re-mastered beatles white album is the clear leader in all of this, we have only sold about 2 of the rock band games for every 20 music items. Hope that was not too boring a comment, cheers, say hallo to my favourite Pelican in Melbourne!

Those waiting for iTunes probably won’t be waiting too long… the impending iPod event seems like the perfect place to declare the availability of The Beatles’ catalogue.

I’ve seen Rock Band for as cheap as $69 (Wii)/$79 (360/PS3), for those on the prowl for that.

Got it. Both box set and rock band. I’m a little disappointed they didn’t do a proper remix of the stereo though. Have a listen to the Yellow Submarine Songtrack they released a few years back – instead of having vocals on the right speaker and the instruments on the left, the vocals/music were all centred and it sounded fantastic. Either way some of the songs sound fantastic. Here There and Everywhere sounds magnificent – You can really hear the harmonies.

Well sure I picked all of the above but I don’t have the cash to actually pay for the mono and stereo box sets…
They will make money off me buying the whole The Beatles: Rock Band set and all the DLC that comes out for it.
