Oops! Did Someone Forget Something?
I don’t know what’s worse – that someone forgot to stick in a memory card, or that this sign has been displaying the words “Insert Memory Card” for at least two full days.
[Thanks Damo!]

RTA FTW! Gold. Except that my taxes are paying for this incompetence…
Wow, major fail. Where did you take this photo?
Taken outside the RTA building in Woolloomooloo on Cathedral St.

Saw it yesterday and took a cruddy iPhone snap then saw it again on my way to work this morning and told Nick he better get down there. It’s fixed now though. I’ll credit that to Giz.
They run off memory cards!?!?
I’m pretty certain its a http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2009/01/hacking_road_signs_is_frightningly_easy_and_funny_and_illegal-2/ copycat…
lol someone has reprogrammed it, they don’t have that error message – well the ones we have don’t
No, there was one down here in Vic outside my work a year ago which had that message (took a pic that is somewhere). Very tempting to grab a memory card & mess with the display message ;)
Deez – “They run off memory cards!?!?”
Not only memory cards…Either there are different versions or multiple ways to feed data to them…I drove past one on the Hume Highway a few months back that said “Carrier lost” or something similar so some are running off GPRS or similar. :)
Hah, looks like someone has been naughty again
