No TV For The Big Game? Solved.
Here’s the situation. You’d like to get some mates around for the NRL final on October 4 but your old clanker of a TV isn’t up to the task, or maybe it just gave out. You need a new one in a hurry but the budget is tight. Giz just caught wind of a deal from Tyagi that might just help you out.
Tyagi makes LCD TVs. And to be straight up with you, we can’t vouch for the quality of the product, though the company’s products are getting some reasonable press, along the lines of “you get what you pay for”. That said, we’ll have a hands-on with one of their TVs as soon as possible, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, all we’re saying is that anyone after an inexpensive telly at a reasonable price from one of the, er, smaller names in the business might like to give this a second thought. You’ll just have to make up your mind before Monday morning.
Anyway, here’s the deal. If you order one before 11am on Monday, that’s September 28, Tyagi guarantees delivery by Friday, in time for the game on the weekend. Guaranteed. I feel nervous for Tyagi making that claim but on their head be it. The company will also throw in an extra one-year warranty. Tyagi has a few models to offer, but a quick check of their site shows the 37in 1080p LCD TV with HD tuner at $895 would be a pretty good fit for an impromptu grand final party and even more impromptu new TV purchase.
To place an order, visit Tyagi’s site or call 1300 992 354.

If someone threw a GF party and the game was being shown on a 37inch TV there would be a riot.
Shouldn’t this be marked as an advertisement? Even funnier that a an ad for “Tyagi” is brought to ‘me’ by Sony.
I’d agree, this is even more blatant then the normal write ups.
or you could get up off your FAT ASS and head down to one of many jb hi-fi stores and buy one there and then and take it home there and then!
i bought a 52″ Panasonic for $1200 a few months back for use in a games room.. it doesn’t do 1080p but it goes good with wii n crap!
AT $895 you could head to JB or even HArvey’s and pick up a pretty decent LCD.
Gizmodo’s editorial is getting worse, this is just a blatant ad.
Who the hell cares about NFL ? Should be AFL !
He said NRL, fool
