    Who doesn’t love a turtle?

I believe that is a tortoise, but in any case, it’s MASSIVE. I think it would do a better job of guarding my house than my dog would. I can put a “Beware of Reptile” sign on my gate and burglars would be like WTF! They have a croc in their yard!

That is, indeed, a tortoise. I’m surprised you don’t know your turtles from your tortoises Nick. Your priorities are obviously in the wrong place.

Agree with Elly Hart – it’s definately a tortoise, as turtles are aquatic animals and have flippers/fins not feet. My gf get this mixed up all the time when we go to the pet store!

It’s Labor day… so we don’t seem to get much at all let alone the breakfast wrap. Does Giz.au actually do anything other than regurgitate US stories?!?

If you click the “au” tag, you’ll find plenty of local posts. Aren’t you happy with the tortoise?

        Is “http://www.gizmodo.com.au” not Gizmodo Australia?
It’s 3pm and there have been a whole 5 posts to read all day… Clearly that means that I actually have to do some work here and not be distracted by Giz.
