This image was one of the last photographs sent by Chandrayaan-1, the moon probe that stopped communicating with Earth last Saturday. It clearly shows the Apollo 15 rover tracks on the Moon surface.
So there you go: A third party confirms the landings. Happy now, you conspiracy retards? No? I don’t care. Just stop writing me stupid emails justifying your idiotic arguments trying to prove that Armstrong didn’t walk on the moon (he did, and he has the photo and the t-shirt to prove it). Friday, September 4, 2009 at 3:20 PMIf americans landed on moon 40-50yrs ago, how come NO ONE been able to do it again.
i’m sure the technology has improved since those days.

Friday, September 4, 2009 at 4:20 PMbecause we are fucking pathetic these days!
need another cold war.. nothing like the imminent threat of nuclear annihilation to motivate you.
there is NO NEED to go to the moon, thats why no one has done it since. They NEEDED to go to the moon.. they NEEDED to beat the Russians.

Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 3:42 PMYeah, i suppose that makes sense – the only thing that drove the americans back in the 60′s was russia’s similar goal. That said though, it can’t really be proven or disproven to me.
I’m not a big conspiracy theorist and i refuse to say they were false, but at the same time, i refuse to say they were absolutely positively 100% real either.
To me, these new photos from NASA or India or wherever just don’t prove a thing to me, and shouldn’t for anybody. They could be from anywhere. Did you see the satellite in space taking photo’s? Did you see the process it took for them to get straight back down to earth and onto the interweb without being modified in some shape or form? No.
I’d love to be positive about this – you know, actually knowing for sure that we accomplished such a mission. But unless we were there, know one will ever really know for sure. Maybe when they re-launch in whatever amount of time, we will be happy with that. But until then, we are left with the (apparently) only landing man ever made in the 60′s.

Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 7:33 PMHelium 3 is the reason we need to go to the moon. It’s abundant on the moon since there is no atmosphere. It’s clean untapped energy that’s simply residing in moon rock and dust. It’s also much more efficient than oil.

Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 3:48 PMRight we should go to mars and to the next star.
Why not shoot for the stars.
There are great jobs in space.

Friday, September 4, 2009 at 8:04 PMBecause it is cheaper and easier to send robotic probes radio controlled from Earth. They do not need life support or oxygen tanks, can work 24/7, and do not need to be brought home safely afterwards. After they had proven we could land on the moon, no one could justify the cost of sending people again when they would not be able to do anything a remote-controlled robot could not,

Friday, September 4, 2009 at 8:46 PMNo one has wanted to pay for it. Kennedy’s challenge to put a man on the Moon has not been followed up by his successors. Republicans tend to gut the space program and the average American has trouble working out what the rest of Earth is all about……never mind the Moon.

Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 3:50 PMWhy not build condos on the moon. How cool would that be and what great jobs would it make.

Friday, September 4, 2009 at 3:25 PMOk good shots of Apollo 15 footsteps.
Aliens caused the failure of the Chandrayaan probe. This article was written to stop conspiracy theories, instead it started all new ones. Man must never interfere with Alien bases on the Moon. While India is scratching their heads why Chandrayaan suddenly vanished, the Aliens are laughing at our inferior technology as they have terminated the mission.

Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 5:12 AMAnother issue: the line doesn’t match any of the EVA paths, so it’s got to be something else. See

I don’t see the tracks I expect to see. (I’m not a disbeliever, I just want better evidence before I start shoving this at the deniers.)

Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 4:11 PMI’ve questioned it and have my doubts, but the proof against such doubts seems weak with these low-resolution images in which they can either be altered or objects mistaken.
I’ve also noticed that capture done by the Nasa probe has inconsitant shadows coming from the objects vs. the shadows cast by the landscape.
Additionally, the aggressive nature of the supporters seems like overcompensation, like a lier cornered with the truth, but then I’m still not taking sides until there more concrete evidence to prove or disprove the arguments of both sides.

Sunday, September 6, 2009 at 5:50 AMInconsistent shadows – make sure you’re working out what’s a hill and what’s a crater because your eyes can fool you.
Aggressive supporters – I think it’s more a matter of getting fed up with skeptics who consider pounds of Moon rocks, hours of video, thousands of photos, and eyewitness reports inadequate evidence but who think a flag that looks like it’s waving or the lack of a blast crater is conclusive proof it was faked.

Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 4:05 PMThe Japanese Kaguya retrieved a better image, using Laser Atimetry it had less resolution, and I am familiar enough with the site and Apollo 15 mission to question whether that one line precisely traces the direction the crew traveled or represents a track. They went up to the edge of St. George crater and south to overlook Hadley Rille, in what is a much larger area within Palus Putredinis.
Besides, not only was the mission on the ground captured from orbit while is was underway, by the Apollo 15 metric camera on-board the orbiting service module, Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter just released it narrow camera image of Apollo 12, 150 meters from Surveyor 3, showing what can only be tracks (no rover or push-cart on mission) which rounds out preliminary photography of all six Apollo landings, including lunar module descent stages. Chandrayaan represents a solid accomplishment for mankind, not just India, and would have accomplished more, but like Kaguya, its goals were more global. The modern fleet of orbiters is returning data that will take many years to decipher, and that includes Chandrayann. LRO, on the other hand, has already taken definitive and unambiguous pictures of the landing sites, especially Apollo 14 and now Apollo 12.

Sunday, September 6, 2009 at 10:59 PMI belive that the Apollo 11 crew did land on the moon but if you look at some pictures of Neil Armstrong taking his first step the pictures are very poor and hard to see I believe these werte the real pictures taken But there are other pictures showing Neil Armstrong taking his first step and these pictures are clear as a bell WHY. because they are fake remeber NASA lost the Apollo 11 films so how come you have 2 films from the exact same angle one poor quality the other looking brand new Maybe they just wanted a clearer picture for the public to justify the cost

Sunday, September 6, 2009 at 11:07 PMIf you want people to go to the Moon then plant some gold and start a gold strike you would be amazed just how fast they get there finding water is great but it dosn’t pay the bills gold does
les
Sunday, September 6, 2009 at 11:27 PMWhy is there 2 films taken from the same angle one poor quality with lots of interference in it and another of real clear quality. I believe the poor quality film to be the real one. The clear quality film I believe is a fake taken to give the public value for money so as to keep them interested in the space program it could be that they also tryed it on the other apollo missions and it is these fake films that are causing them problems. Russia did make it to the moon but it was a robut on wheels they became the first country to use robuts to move on another moon after the moon NASA went to the Russians to learn about there robuts for MARS the rest is history.

Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10:01 AMA third party confirms the landings.
Sorry, but the Indian Space Agency is not a third party. It is well known that the Indians are working together with NASA on various joint space projects like the International Space Station. And they rely on NASA’s shuttle to lift their payloads into space.
Again. This is not independent verification. Still, I don’t dismiss things out of reflex. I plan on analyzing these pictures.

Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 1:14 AMCheck the last pictures taken by the astronauts of the trails and tracks. Also it would be nice to know why it took so long to image A12, maybe something to do with SIII, couldn’t quite get it right. LOL

Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 2:39 AMThis has to be one of the most lousiest “proofs” I have ever seen. If it weren’t for the redline, I would not have seen the “track” at all.

Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 3:03 AMHmm… I wonder why it would take photographic expers to find tracks of you outside of your house… Or can you show them on google :S

Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 12:55 AMSorry to disapoint you guys that jumped on this LRO thing. You were so eager to paint all the skeptics as idiots that you forgot to do even a little basic research. Like matching the trails and tracks taken by the LRO with the actual pictures taken by the astronauts prior to blasting off.
In summary-not all skeptics are idiots. I for one dont relish the idea of finding that we were lied too, however the truth is more important than hanging on to an idea.

Friday, August 26, 2011 at 8:18 AMthe reason america hasant been on the moon since late 60s is what is on the moon or should i say supose to be on the moon for awnsers to this go to google tap in nasa cover up
