Earlier today, Dan Nosowitz reported on the Asus G60J. Giz just got word from Asus Australia on local availability.
The Alienware laptop you’re having when you’re not having an Alienware laptop will land at the end of October.
Pricing? The G60J will run you $2999. Notably, and as confirmed with the local product manager, the G60J will have a discrete GeFORCE GTX 260M with 1GB DDR VRAM, whereas the US report described the first i7 laptop from Asus sporting a GTS 250M.

Why the hell would anyone buy this locally, worst case scenario paying all the import tax, delivery insurance your still able to get it here from the US for under 2k, and because asus have global warranty its still covered(thou if you import you have to cover the postage to the repair agent)
