There are lots of companies that make cranes and other machinery this big. Like Terex (Demag), and CAT. The big ones are mostly in europe.
There is a gigantic machine in Germany that looks like a transformer, just bigger and more badass, and less suck. I think it’s used to build roads quickly.

this machine, and excavators or face shovels (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Excavator) in this class are for mining application… not for building roads quickly! :-)
