The two biggest stories today (so far) have been Sony’s announcement of a new Slim PS3, and the official word that the Beatles back catalogue has been digitally remastered and will be released on CD next month. Both are very exciting on their own, but imagine if you could combine the two into one super-mega story. Like perhaps an announcement that EA is planning to release Singstar: The Beatles.
MCV reckons that the game, which should be released by Electronic Arts shortly after their Beatles Rock Band title, is like an instrument-free port of the Rock Band game, and as such isn’t really seen as a competitor.
I know I’m definitely more keen on playing Rock Band: Beatles than Singstar: Beatles, but I can totally see older Beatles fans jumping on this.

Great! – Now just make sure it’s released BOTH on a disc (if you must, for the PS2 peeps) AND as a Singstore download. Stop being ars eholes with the ludicrous PS3 discs that defeat the whole point of the Singstore. Which is why we all bought Singstar for our PS3s anyway. Remember, Sony? Sony?…
