As far as Blu-Ray and library of games then the
ps3 wins, and for backwards compatibly for ps2/ps1
games.

The free online is better than wasting $50 a year
for xbox 360 as if microsoft didn’t already make enough money as it is they can charge even more
damn monolopy.

some of the hardware specs are better on ps3 but
the xbox 360 does have some really good games including halo series.

It’s hard to pick but I would go with ps3 you get
wifi free internet and blu ray player.

The Sony PS3 has always been the superior console: Blu-ray, built-in Wi-fi, free online service (including PlayStation Home), etc.

As for software, it’s the exclusives that are the real deciding factor, and both XBOX 360 and PS3 have a fairly equal amount of impressive titles

you cannot argue that xbox has a larger game library. In 2007 that was the case, but not anymore. Give me some examples it has over playstation besided Halo and Gears of War? PS3 has built a very nice lineup, and some really good ones are still to come.

oh yeah and you forgot to mention about upgrading the hard drive. Little easier to do on playstation.

Eric before you say any more ignorant things, he says the Xbox 360 has the best games library not most. He also points out that the xbox has the better online service. Also to suggest to go back to a older generation system is ludicrous.

Also remember that most people with xbox’s play them and keep playing them, even if they might be unreliable pieces of junk. the quality of games obviously keep them playing

Not about hardware but about software? Then get a PS2 as it has the largest gaming library still active and the unit costs $100, right?

Sorry but the PS3 has blue ray…..and is a far better gaming system. True they don’t offer the same number of games as 360 but as I pointed out….if number of games is what you are looking at, then just get a ps2.

For those who are bitching, Sony Europe has set the price at $499 which is acutally less than the European price. Not that I think it is fair that the US get it for less money, but it has an alot larger market and thus has to spend less money on admin, r&d and marketing per customer. Living in Australia is more expensive than the US, get used to it.
