The Logitech Squeezebox Touch—the shiny audio playback device with 4.3-inch touch sensitive screen—is out. Looking at the specs, it looks like a nice audio component with HQ 24-bit/96khz sampling rate sound. Here are all the naughty bits.
Apart from the touchscreen and remote, the Logitech Squeezebox Touch comes with SD card slot, Ethernet, digital optical, digital coaxial, and analogue stereo ports, as well as light, temperature, and proximity sensors. [Heise—In German via i4u]
The Touch is not portable but the Squeezebox Radio is, it has an optional Battery pack, and speakers…and is under 200$ (199$) :)
Squeezebox Radio also has a color lcd screen, smaller than the Touch though, but that has the same functions (Album art, Facebook, Flicker etc..)
The Squeezebox Touch has a built-in “SqueezeCenter” software that allows it to also play music from a usb drive or sdcard, and share that music to other players.
Or you can also use it to controll other players as with the Duet Controller.
An optional wall mount kit is also available.
