Lifehacker’s Top 10 Instructional Cooking Videos

5:15AM August 30, 2009 | Dan Nosowitz

Lifehacker rounded up 10 of the best short cooking videos around, ranging from simple instruction (how to slice a mango, chop an onion) to more subtle tips like how to properly sauce pasta (it’s different than you think).

That mango video actually saved me a ton of time, since I used to just slice willy-nilly and end up with mismatched pieces and/or a dulled knife from trying to slice through the stone. And for those who doubt—I loathe Gordon Ramsay’s cooking shows, but his scrambled eggs are excellent (even if they take a freaking hour to cook). [Lifehacker]

Ramsay shmamsay…Heston Blumenthell is where the action is at. Ramsay is a has been dude. A twat. Check out a few of Heston’s feasts on Mininova. Any man that can make a testicle look like a piece of fruit, or serve the cutlery for desert has my vote. Also his “Worlds best” fish and chips are pretty freakin amazing.

Saying that, Ramsay’s scrambled eggs are pretty damn good…as good as Hestons Bacon and Egg ice cream…tough call….

I’m loving this gizmodo action. Technology and cooking, my two favourite things in one. Nice!
