Confirmed: PS3 iView Will Be Unmetered On Internode

I just received confirmation that the ABC iView service for your PS3 coming later this year will be unmetered on Internode. I’ve put the question to iiNet as well, but they’re yet to come back to me. Although realistically, if Internode can do unmetered PS3 iView, iiNet probably will too…

  • Well, considering the web version of iView is already unmetered on iiNet right now, I don’t see why it wouldn’t be.

Can iiNet even tell the difference between a PS3 and a PC? I think not.

Can’t wait, glad to see this is almost here and will be free data :)

hey NETSPACE… get on the unmetered bandwagon with the ABC you dorks!

Hi. I’ve got a general iiNet broadband plan and ABC iView is one of the listed unmetered sites.

You got a source on that? The ABC has not said anything about metering/unmetering on PS3.

    • That came direct from Internode’s PR agency. Had to wait a week or so for confirmation.

    Well this sucks.
Just today I was trying to change my ISP to be Internode, with one of the main reasons being unmetered iView on PS3 but someone in my family needs to keep exactly the same e-mail address so it’s not possible! :’[

thats gotta be the only reason they do it. encourage you to use it over a ‘dirty’ hotmail one. just another anti competition thing.

  • astro

Do you know if Adam will do something similar? Seeing as they’re direct competitors – both have iView as unmetered on a PC…

iView mostly works on PS3 now, it just has very bad load times.
