Thats just it. I think these things would not need a huge windows xp or vista machine to run. Usually whatever ads they put in there are made either in flash, director or powerpoint, or run from a dvd.
So more likely they are run on an older pc (say a p3 at 500mhz) which can (you would think) run all of those.
I can remember that most ATM machines still run on Windows N.T 6.0. I’ve seen those BSOD many times lol

I don’t understand how these happen, what is so horribly wrong with the underlying computer that it BSODs?
…don’t say windows, I haven’t seen a BSOD in a very long time
