World’s Largest RC Chopper Is Big Enough For A Very Short Pilot
This RC helicopter is a scale model of a Russian Mi-24 chopper, a monstrous beast that’s 16.75m long. The scale version looks about 1/8th the size, and still scares the crap out of us. Check out the video below.
We don’t really know anything about the giant “toy” helicopter, except the model it’s based on, but the video below shows that it really works, and that we really don’t want it falling into the hands of any kids. [LiveLeak via Craziest Gadgets]

come, 16 meters, if it is then its longer than a regular helicopter that people pilot. looks closer to about 3 meters in the video!!!!
on top of that it looks like it might be based on this http://www.bergenrc.com/Turbine.php
I think he always agreed with you Martin… this is based on the 16m chopper :)))
I think it’s worth more than my car… ;)
quite an amazing machine. first thing i noticed was the sound. im sure that it is powered by a gas turbine engine, just like the real helicopter would be.
also, listen to the thumping sound of the blades, most RC heli’s dont make that noise. the real ones do and i think its because the tips are going supersonic.
Probably closer to 16 feet then rather than meters?
lol???
lay that guy flat next to the chopper and it will be just a bit bigger then him.
Have you ever seen a 15 foot man? lol
The article means the real chopper is 16.75m according to Wikipedia it’s 17.5m (57Ft).
So if the model is 1/8th scale would place the model at 2.09m which looks about right
