A great cover by the Christian Science Monitor. I went back and forth a few times, and ended up being wrong. Which do you think is the meat-based contruction? The answer forthcoming on Monday. [BoingBoingGadgets]
I believe it’s the one on the right.
It’s facial features are very defined, like lips and nose, it’s skin gives a very bright glow as well. It basically looks perfect, and very rarely is something perfect and real.
First of all the, lips are pursed too far apart, the eye lids are too thick, as is the spacing between the teeth and the inside of the lips. Also notice the lack of reflection on the eyes, this is due to the robot not producing lubrication from the tear ducts. In addition the android, which appears to be moddeled after a woman of mid 40′s, the skin appears taught and the cheek muscles are held higher than they would appear on a human.
Nice try Christian Science Monitor, but I didn’t even need to scan to the right to be able to pick this one… That being said, my sincere apologies to the Android looking woman if it turns out I’m wrong

I think its the one on the left, the skin color inside the nose and and the dullness of the eyes i think give it away but its still amazing

i think its the left one. looks like its staring into oblivion but the real one on the right is actually looking into the robots eyes.

The one on the left.. distant gaze, weirdly round corner of mouth.

I’m going with the left… does look very glassy in the eyes and there is something about the mouth that seems wrong
