VLC, The Internet’s Favorite Media Player, Hits Version 1.0
11:34PM July 7, 2009 | Matt Buchanan
With a “many new features,” support for new codecs and formats and a ton of bug fixes, VLC—the most versatile media player around—is officially worth of 1.0 status. Download it here. [VLC - Thanks Chris!]
VLC is only ‘the internet’s favorite media player’ because the internet is dumb as a brick. KMPlayer does everything VLC does while using much fewer system resources.
vlc is is absolutely rubbish. Will the idiots who think this is a good player wake the f up and realise that the internet now only has a few video formats it now uses. If they could just get avi files to play as well as mpc or even if anyone can remember bs player, without the audio going out of sync or the avi index being broken it would be great. but vlc is is load of rubbish. give it up.
