This NES Controller Is The Only IPhone Case I Want

I said it before, and I’ll say it a million times: I hate iPhone cases like I hate grandma’s plastic sofa cover. But I love this beautiful NES felt case—with buttons made of actual ruby red buttons.

lol – its a shame that there isnt actually an iPhone in that case – there is a nokia E71……. how do i know?? wrist strap gives it away !!!

@Purple Monkey Dishwasher: Hi, I'm the maker of this case (well, me and my girlfriend are), and I say it takes a lot more than an hour to make one, especially if the d-pad and start/select buttons are not yet cut. Hand-sewing such delicate features is no easy job, even for people used to handcrafting (we're both Product Design undergraduates). Details such as the antique buttons and the machine-sewn lining (all of the stitches that hold the buttons are completelly hidden) add to the difficulty.

We're obviously taking our labour costs on account for determining the price of the item, but that's not all: there's the designing process, selecting materials, writing (lenghty and heartfelt) descriptions, setting up Etsy store / PayPal account (a PITA for non-USA folks), etc.

All in all, I'm so happy to have this featured here, as I'm a huge Giz fan! Thanks Jesus!

@Purple Monkey Dishwasher: Oh yes, someone who spent between 4-500 dollars on their phone for little more than status reasons would really probably love to spend all weekend gluing felt to buttons in order to avoid spending that extra 25 bucks.

I picked up an in-case case. It's hard plastic with a matte black outer covering. It is a bitch to take off though, but I like it a lot.

I use a microfiber sleeve for eyeglasses that I had lying around. I cut off the drawstring. Free to me and polishes the case and screen.

lol yea, i dont get cases for my phones, if the phone doesnt get scratched up then the cover does then it gets rid of the point of having one.
