Sony’s Planning A Vaio P Mark 2 Super Portable In October?

TechRadar reports that there will be a “range” of Vaio Ps, Sony’s super tiny and super expensive laptop coming later this year.

We recently got a minor spec bump in the original line, making the Vaio P as fast as normal netbooks. No other details on what the new machines will have, however. [TechRadar]

Are we *ever* going to move past 32-bit 1.6ghz atom? Or is this where we’re staying forever?

So they still haven't rolled out the 2GHz 2GB ram model outside of Japan? I guess it's importing time.

I just recently purchased one from Japan. It's the 2.0Ghz Atom, 2Gb of RAM, and 128Gb SSD. The video card sucks b@lls sh!t tho. It's the "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator", and there's nothing accelerating about it. Don't get me wrong tho, it's one of the best netbooks I've been using out of the many I've used so far. I will have buyer's remorse if they decide to come out with an updated model utilizing NVidia or ATi video card. Oh how I will hate you SONY!!!!

I like the fact they have a higher res. Any netbooks with a higher res then 12xx ?

I know one new and exciting feature: The Sony Soul$ucker technology they've integrated into it to suck you into blowing several thousand dollars on what a $299 netbook can do all the same.
