i can so see this going the way of the xperia. sony ericsson do this all the time, they come out with a product that blows us away on paper and then just blows in real life.
this interface is too complex, the 3d and glass effects are going to make the interface clunky and slow
get your act together SE, we dont want bells and whistles, we want something that works exactly like you say it will
