Palm Pre Moving Abroad To Silently Judge American Ways
The Palm Pre is heading to both Spain and the UK. And for each market, it’ll score GSM (the bands necessary to run on AT&T/T-Mobile networks here).
The Pre will first be available in the UK, Ireland and Germany where it will be carried exclusively by O2. Then in Spain, the awesomely-named Movistar will pick up the handset by this holiday season.
Of course, this means that you’ll probably be able to import a Pre to run on AT&T. But chances are, if you’re suffering through AT&T’s lousy service already, it’s only because you sold your soul for an iPhone.
AU: Of course, this is much more interesting for us Australians, because it means that the first hurdle to an Australian release has been jumped. Now we just need the carriers and Palm to start sleeping with eachother.

pffft stuff that, all we need to do is buy a gsm one from the uk. Hopefully they won’t be branded? I don’t like the idea of a sprint or any other logo on that back mirrored surface.
I cant wait for the Palm Pre , loved my old Palm Treo 650 and the operating system . If they make it GSM , why wouldnt they do it .
