TPG are very lacklustre if your happy to sit back and cop the (sometimes) poor speed and customer service.
I first synced at around 2MBPS and they really werent interested in fixing any faults at their end. So I called the TIO (They were great) and boy did TPG start jumping through hoops to cater to my needs. :)

I think it's funny the way people whinge about how Internode do business, if you don't like the prices, then go to a better 'value' plan with a company who has inferior network, and stability.

Over the multiple years i've been a 'node customer, i've called their tech support a total of about twice.

and LOL @ Jammit, learn to check your emails and post, internode will send out notices to you via both mediums

mate just leave telstra altogether... you can do it:)

They have been sucking the souls out of all of us for so long.

I had everything with them.. 2 mobiles, landline, internet.
I have saved myself thousands every year and a lot of heartache by leaving this retched company.

The only thing they sort of have to sell is Next G, and I gave that overpriced over rated crap up with a smile.

Try and sell me an Iphone on a million doller capped plan.....shame on you. wait in line at telstra shop 3 hours...shame on u. make mistakes on my bill monthly... shame on you

jammit, it is frustrating. I have been caught the same but I owed around 60c. I missed it when I payed the bill and got disconnected while I was away for work.

Point is.. I owed them 60c and they have every right to collect and disconnect. They sent 2 emails and a sms to rectify the outstanding so its not like you dont get warning.

Your kidding yourself if you think any other isp will not do the same.

Internode is by far the best isp I have used EVER.. and I have used so many over the years. Customer service is as good as it gets too

I'm on Exetel, $50/month for 48GB off-peak/18GB on-peak ADSL2+

The service is mostly rubbish but the speed/price is right!

Agreed, this plan is not great.

Ever tried TPG customer service? It's a nightmare when you compare it to Internode's service. My CC expired and I forgot about it until Internode told me. I said it'd take me some time to fix things up with the CC company and they happily allowed me to gather up to 3 months of unpaid internet; more than enough time to fix things up.
Forgot to mention that Internode also has tons of gaming related files and servers all meter free at games.on.net. If you're a gamer like me, this stuff is worth this extra bucks.
Plus, Internode's reliability is a dream. The only problems I ever have are with this stupid router of mine which I'll replace soon.

Hahahahahaha, TPG will never be seen as 'faster' or 'more reliable' when it's being compared to the best ISP in Australia (Internode) - and that's coming from a TPG customer. I pay $69 for 110GB on TPG and I would give it up for much less the moment Internode puts a DSLAM in my exchange.

I think this is a prefect compomise between offering easy to understand plans for the masses and providing variety and flexibility in plans for the tech aware.

I've been with Internode for over 8years through 4 different addresses and always had rock solid service, reliability and throughput.

I cringe when i see people I know sign up for Bigpond and get ripped off, all because it's 'easy'. So although this is a departure for Internode from their usual offerings I think it's a good move.

I have not committed to a broadband provider yet and am still using prepaid broadband with 3 and am happy with the service. I think it doesnt matter so much the data amounts the companies offer, what is important is how they treat customers and to what extent they try to shaft you. About the best provider I have seen is iinet, as they have a fair contract policy that lets you get out of a contract should your situation change. Many of the other companies lock you into these horrible contracts and you cant get out for 2 years. Crazy.
