HTC Android Family Portraits: G1, MyTouch 3G And Hero
Ever wondered what it’d be like to get three generations of Android phones together—G1, myTouch 3G and Hero? If you think that’s kind of kinky, oh man, I hope you have a clean pair of pants lying around.
A couple interesting things gleaned about the Hero as I barely refrained from cramming it down my pants: There’s a ton of HTC software on there, not just the Sense UI—they’ve built their own mail client with Exchange support, and even a slick, iPhone-worthy Twitter app. Also, the grey Hero has a rubber back—only the white one is rocking out the Teflon (but it’s the only one that needs it).
Oh yeah, dear god please give me one. Right now. Thanks.

Why can’t you techies learn to speak the Queen’s English. I haven’t got a clue what you are saying in this post.
It appears to me that you are speaking to some sort of inner clique and that your essential message is that you said it first.
Should I buy an android, in Australia, at the moment or not?
In simple English, please.
I really want a HTC Hero.
The post is from America, how can you expect the Queens English?
I understood it all, but then I’m a geek and been an avid fan of Gizmodo for 5+ years.
Lets see if this can be translated for Australians (who by the way dont speak the ‘Queen’s English’)

I have the HTC Magic with the new Hero UI patched onto it.
I must say it’s awesome!
Really great phone! Able to ActiveSync with Exchange, Google, any mail you like.
Hey _I_ hear you, Brian – Hervey Bay, Qld.
I’ve written an app for mine that translates technobabble into Queens English.

Any idea when (or if) the Hero is coming to Australian shores? I was hanging out for the Diamond 2, but as it is now an Optus exclusive I am looking for a new phone. If the Hero were to come to Australia on the right carrier it would become my phone of choice.
Also anyone who has the Magic with the Hero ROM is it working well or are there big problems?
At the moment, there’s no word on an Aussie Hero – we asked HTC at their recent launch and got a resounding “no comment”. But if I were a betting man, I’d say within a few months…
