Just like "caddy corner" and "kitty corner" are accepted even though the correct term is "quatre corner". It is called Folk Alliteration if I recall right. In common usage, the slang term "badderassed" is also acceptable.

I'm a little puzzled by a few of these points by skew. This seems like a very appropriate choice for a handle so far as I can tell by the way.

Not all the capitalized words correspond to things that are different from the original text. IF for example is if in the original, so what is changed?

skew seems to object to "greeeen". We're talking about a giant robot model, so I think a bit of playfulness can be excused.

The on-line Merriam-Webster lists "afterwards" as a variant. I usually take that to mean you may use it without fear of scorn.

So yeah, I believe a giant group raspberry is in order for our pal skew.

@bosskev: Listen, I try to take this place as a source of news. If blogs are going to take over as our source of news some day, then their writers had better at least have some self respect and let someone edit their text.

Additionally, "afterwards" is never correct -- check your AP Stylebook. The same goes for forward, toward, backward ... and pretty much anything other word that ends in "-ward."

My choice of using "though" is purely personal preference -- you have me there. It doesn't affect content, however, so in my fake role as copy editor, I felt fine in changing it. After all, nobody likes more letters to read.

OK, I'm kidding on that third one, but you may be getting my point, which is...
