It appears that Shane Hurlbut, Director of Photography on Terminator Salvation, is the guy behind that awesome Canon5D MK II helmet. He also happens to be the guy Christian Bale went ape shit on during filming.
Speaking with planet5D, Hurlbut revealed that the mount was designed for a series of 9 Terminator Salvation webisodes and was later used to film a rollercoaster ride experience video for the Terminator ride at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Needless to say, this might be the best thing to come out of that whole debacle of a film. [planet5d]

Monday, January 11, 2010 at 11:25 PMI think it was terrible how Christian Bale went off at this poor fellow. He did apologise but Bale just kept on going. Perhaps Bale had things going on in his personal life but it’s still just inexcusable, especially when he said something along the lines of not returning to the set if the guy was still hired; it’s ok for Bale, he gets payed millions, but that guy probably doesn’t get payed that much and he might’ve really need the job.
I suppose Bale is no different to the typical spoilt/arrogant star used to getting their own way.I hoped Bale apologised but I suppose that’s something that won’t be made public!
