BlackBerry Storm 2 In Action, SurePress Click Screen And All
It’s pretty early hardware and earlier software, but the guys at CrackBerry somehow got themselves a Storm 2 to play with. First question: Yes, it still has a clickable screen, but it’s allegedly much better than its predecessor.

I do really want this phone. We'll see it when it comes out in real life, but it may be what it takes to ditch my iPhone & AT&T and move over to Verizon.
I suspect either this or the new Blackberry Pearl (that should be coming out at some point) will be my next phone.
@TheSonOfKrypton: I frankly could care less about the Storm or Storm 2. I have a BB Curve anyway.
I'm far from being mad. I just really don't like posts that shit on a gadget just because YOU aren't interested. I know you love your iPhone (for good reason, I think their UI is top notch). Anyone who has been around Giz knows you like it too. When you yawn at a post your saying it's not news worthy. I'm sure a lot of people are in the same situation I am. NO AT&T Coverage=No iPhone. That means they need an alternative. That means this IS news. I found it insightful that the Storm 2 looks to be as big of a turd as the Storm. Maybe I was a little sensitive (hey, what can I say, I'm a sensitive biker) to the post, but it rubbed me the wrong way.
I like your response post, though.
so ummmm... how about them Detroit Lions, eh?
Ali Khan
@weylin: Now can you answer how that pertains to the discussion at hand? Please. I eagerly await your attempt at a response.
What are you, a Storm fanboy? There is practically not a phone on the market that doesn't rub hot dookie all over the Blackberry Storm. Yall don't have to get your panties in a bunch over the iPhone (that nobody mentioned in this comment thread before you all, mind you). You still have literally every other phone to upstage first.
I understand it is early hardware/software, but watching the video, something keeps nagging at me. The device seems fast enough, except the registering of screen presses. And when he was demoing typing on the keyboard, it just seemed slow. Again, that could just be the early software and/or the guy demoing it.
All things considered, it does seem better than the previous version.

@TheSonOfKrypton:
No kidding. I mean, you iPhone guys just got Cut and Paste. How revolutionary.
@Bigbadbikernerd: Y u mad Bigbadbikernerd? It's not like it's "The iPhone vs. the Blackberry Storm". If you're on Verizon, and you fully knowingly OPT for a Blackberry Storm 2, a phone that **ostensibly** isn't that much different from the crap-tast-ic Blackberry Storm 1, you're a moron! Now, I'm not saying you in general are one, but anyone who would choose that. There are MUCH better phones out than this right now! You don't get AT&T Coverage? Ok. Do you get Sprint coverage? Here's a novel idea: Get a Pre and avoid the Storm 2! Do you get TMobile coverage? Get an HTC Magic/G1 and avoid the Storm 2! Do you ONLY get Verizon coverage? Get a Blackberry Bold/Tour and AVOID THE STORM 2!
If you DIDN'T yawn upon revelation of this lackluster excuse for an upgrade (Storm 2), please, Bigbadbikernerd, tell me how the hell you reacted. Because I sure as well want to know.
@TheSonOfKrypton: Maybe I left a voicemail...explains why you didn't get it - Ha!
At 1:50 in the video it says it will definitely have WiFi in the release model so that is absolutely good news.
+1 for verizon...finally
@Bigbadbikernerd: And not all of us want craptastic AT&T coverage nor the iPhone.
tenazrael
@TheSonOfKrypton: Not everyone has AT&T Coverage and can get the iPhone. We know you're an iPhone Fanboy, no need to remind us.
I'm not gonna lie, I actually love my Blackberry Storm and I doubt I'd cough up the extra dough to get the Storm 2.
My Storm's overall responsivness is fast, it has great features and apps, and I love the click screen. It's so much better than my unlocked, hacked HTC Touch Pro and Diamond-- I didn't have to hack it or anything, it just worked great.
The only thing I didn't like though was that the Blackberry App World sucks dick compared to the iStore, and there's no way you can tell me otherwise. However, I have all the essential apps I need, so it's okay. I just wish they had great games like the iStore.

I'll stick with my 1st gen iPhone. :)

If this comes to AT&T, I will have to make a tough decision.
BB Storm 2 vs Apple iPhone 3GS
My upgrade is less than 30days away.

meh....hope its better
how does crack berry get stuff early
trojan675
Sounds boring. Why did Blackberry keep the little clicky screen ._.

**YAWN.......** Oh. My apologies. Did you say something?
