Bandai RilakKuma Finally Achieves Maximum Netbook Adorability

It can be hard to tell the legions of identical netbooks apart, but this Bandai RilakKuma will never have that problem, because it’s the cutest Atom-based piece of hardware we’ve ever seen.

    @Jakooboo_WantsACheeseDanish: the 4chan kids are gonna eat this up.

    personally i think the whole 4chan jokes and obsessions are getting pretty old and tiring...it's about time they moved onto something else other than thinking they're the gods of the interwebs.

  • jchabotte

    so this is what you're all thinking, eh?

    @MacAttack7388:
    This might strike as weird, but actually Rilakkuma - a mix of Relax and Kuma (bear) is among those characters that has TONS of merchandise in Japan... just like Hello Kitty.
    Keychains, books, anime, toys, etc etc etc... and now a netbook.

    But yeah... first time I saw it I also promptly reminded of his devious cousin. :P

    It wasn't completely my fault though... get this: The first time I got in contact with the character was in front of a Sega Center at Akihabara in Japan, a guy in a huge costume (pictured above) and he was hugging a little kid! :P

    More on Shotacat's taste, but still... :P

    I spend too much time on the site

  • Lite: is on a boat.

    @bosskev: I dunno Kev... You seem awful cozy in that photo w/ Pedobear.

    Awfully cozy.

    Now if they had a flat panda netbook...

  • Axelph

    Uh OH... It seems pedo-bear power is rising. Parents, hide your children, this take-over will come so cute to even avoid.

  • FiskFisk33

    @gerbick: haha youre not alone, and the fact that this netbook will proboably end up in many childrens laps doesnt make it one bit less wrong!

    FiskFisk33

  • gerbick

    Hehe. I immediately thought about pedo-bear.

    @Jakooboo Bought an Asus Eee PC 1005HA-PU1X:
    Ah, c'mon, Jakooboo, this computer is perfect for children. I mean, bears are cute with kids!

    And, did someone mention beaver?

  • Jakooboo_WantsACheeseDanish

    I never, NEVER want to see a bear (especially a cutesy Japanese bear) on a computer again. Just like the stuffed beaver PC. For shame, Dan, for shame.

  • B1663R

    @jchabotte: well done sir.

  • nutbastard

    this made me think immediately of Lain. She would totally get into the wired with this thing.
