A Pictorial Guide To Computer Hardware
From every kind of memory to A/V input/outputs, processors, and hard drives, this guide shows in easy-to-recognize pictorial form the possible guts in your computer. It’s either a really useful quick guide, or the nerdiest poster we’ve ever seen. [DeviantArt]

@chrisaroz: You're supposed to prepare for those tests?

I am printing this and posting it in my room.
Simply awesome and nerdy.

Fascinating poster. Found myself scouring it for about 7 or 8 minutes there.

Although this appears to be a newer version than mine....
I have had this for about 4 months now, No picture has ever helped me so much. I can easily help my friends and family with understanding plug differences with this chart.
Oh my GOD!!! Thank You I am sort of SLOW when it comes to what's what in my tower...
P.S. The Word of the Day is Slow...
As in a mental deterrent...

Someone help me, I can't stop touching myself. 30-pin simm's. Man that takes me back to the glory days of the whitebox.
Looks like a great way to help prepare for A+ certification.

Dude! Has this been dugg yet? If not, it should be. This is one of the most useful posts to date. I agree with the person who said it would be great for A+ cert training. It would have been useful when I studied for mine (yeah I have my cert). Well done!
Could be useful to avoid explaining how a specific port looks like over the phone, and just point someone to this poster.
This is really great.

@Jonathon Gill: Silly Jonathon, that is what pass4sure.com is for!
Looking at that makes me feel retarded because i know what almost every one of those things are.

@something_unique_and_descriptive: I had to prepare because it was a bunch of garbage no one had used for 10+ years: Windows 3.11 memory management.

@Alternate: No joke, this will come in handy.
I don't use the word Godsend often. But this is a Godsend. and not just that, but its fucking awesome

I find it interesting that they showed all the cards with accompanying slots, but forgot to show the onboard IDE/STA ports to go along with the drives. Also it would be nice to show some more onboard connections like USB, Audio, case buttons/indicators and other miscellaneous but common connections (i.e. USB 1.1 and 2.0 internal prong connections)

@VenomIreland: I third (?) that, neither do I have posters in my place---
@strider_mt2k: I second that, I don't have any posters and this'd be perfect for me.
I'd like a copy of that poster for my den, please.
It's cool.
No 13W3? FAIL!!!
